Ofsted/ School Performance

The school’s last OfSTED Inspection (June 2023) confirmed that Lydgate Infant School is a good school in which pupils are 'happy and ready to learn'. Parent View is an online facility that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child’s school at any time of the school year. The questionnaire is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views about the school to inspectors at the time of a school inspection.

Parent View will ask for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. It will also ask for your opinion on five aspects of your child’s welfare.

As an example, one of the questions reads: ‘My child is happy at this school’ and gives the following choice of responses:

  • Strongly agree
  • Agree
  • Disagree
  • Strongly disagree
  • Don’t know

By sharing your views, you will be helping the school to evaluate the quality of its provision. You can also see what other parents have said about the school or view the results of other schools should you wish.
